The launch date of Borderlands 4 on Nintendo Switch 2 appears to have leaked online.
You may recall that the port was delayed indefinitely a few months back after Gearbox Software revealed that it needed more time to “deliver the best possible experience to our fans”.
Developers sought to add extra polish to the port, and it looks as if that process may now be over.
As spotted by Reddit user venom_daemon, Borderlands 4 on Nintendo Switch 2 has been made available to pre-order via Portuguese retailer Gaming Replay.

Visiting the retailer’s website, you can find a listing for the port which sits at €69.99 with a release date of 27 February.
Yes, it certainly looks as if you can get your hands on the game on handheld from next month.
Of course, I do have to urge you to take this information with a pinch of salt until Gearbox Software confirms the game’s Switch 2 launch plans.
I’d lean towards saying this is bang on the money though. Yesterday, Marathon’s launch date leaked hours before its official announcement.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Gearbox surfaced sooner rather than later.
A Return to Form for Gearbox
Borderlands 4 is a solid entry, perfect for both longtime fans and newbies.
I fell into the latter camp and had a great time getting to know Gearbox’s wacky and wonderful world via this instalment.

Our very own James Lynch, as a longtime fan, awarded the game a score of eight in our review.
“Borderlands 4 should give fans of the series most, if not all, of the experiences they were looking for,” he wrote.
“It's bombastic, spectacular fun that puts the emphasis on the player to go out and have a brilliant time.”

He continued, “Any game that delivers out-and-out fun at the rate of Borderlands 4 deserves its flowers, and it lives up to the reputation that the previous games so carefully built.”
It seems that the sentiment surrounding the port is, unfortunately, a tad rough, with many worried about its performance given certain issues that surfaced on PS5.
I have to say, I was quite lucky with my playthrough as it ran pretty smoothly.
“How the hell is this supposed to run on the Switch 2 when it already struggles on the base ps5?” said Thrimmar.

“Borderlands 4 Frames Per Second,” joked jolteonjuice.
Well, it looks as if judgement day is coming next month.
