Animal Crossing fans warned as new release set for price rise

It's about to double in price - permanently

If you don’t fancy paying double the price for the next Animal Crossing title, then you better hurry up and grab it now before it permanently increases in price.

As revealed on the official Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete Twitter account, the current half price promotion for the title will be ending on January 31 at 6 AM UTC.

“Don't forget Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete's introductory price of $9.99 USD / €9.99 EUR ends on Jan 31 (Fri), 6 AM UTC,” states the Tweet.

“Once the promotion is over, the standard price is $19.99 USD / €19.99 EUR.”

Now, if you’re a little confused as to why they’re charging money for a Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, a game that is free, then I may have some terrible news for you.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp actually went offline, forever, in November 2024. Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete is a new, paid version of the game that has replaced it.

Animal Crossing fans may enjoy Hello Kitty Island Adventure.

If you’re only just finding out about this now and you have an Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp account, then here’s the terrible part of the news; you’ve missed the boat in regards to transferring your Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp saved data over to Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete is actually an offline version of the same game, complete with some new bonus features.

However, the deadline for transferring all of your data over to Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete was a few months back now, so you’ll have to start your new Animal Crossing journey with a fresh save file if you’re planning to take advantage of the new introductory offer.

Don’t let that dissuade you though, as I’ve heard nothing but good things about the new version of the game. It seems well worth it for the price you (currently) have to pay.
