The new Skull Island: Rise Of Kong game is being roasted for its graphics, I think we all owe Gollum and apology now.

Somehow the new King Kong game has even worse graphics than the Lord Of The Rings spin-off, though it’s unlikely this game’s developers will issue an apology via AI…

Feel free to take a look at Skull Island: Rise Of Kong below, if you dare…

The game follows a younger Kong exploring Skull Island, with platforming and combat segments sprinkled in along the way. Reception has been less than ideal, with many players reporting the game is absolutely atrocious, in terms of graphics and gameplay, with some even calling it a straight-up scam.

Not only is it full of random bugs and glitches, look awful, and feature some truly boring gameplay, it’s also being sold at the premium-price of $49.99/£44.99, not good at all.

While the majority of players are disgusted at the quality of some of the games that released this year, it hasn’t stopped them poking fun at them, saying Skull Island: Rise Of Kong could be a Game Of The Year, though Gollum could give it a run for its money.

All jokes aside though, players are urging each other to not buy the game, even if it’s just for a laugh.

One said: “‘Gameplay’ of Skull Island: Rise of Kong. This costs 40 dollars and is made by people that make low effort shovelware with big IP franchises.

Another added: “Actual cutscene. DO NOT BUY THE NEW KING KONG GAME. IT IS A COMPLETE SCAM.”

Finally, one joked: “New King Kong game looks like game of the year material.”

I think we all owe The Lord Of The Rings: Gollum a big apology, while it definitely wasn’t a good game, perhaps we treated it too harshly…

Skull Island: Rise Of Kong is available for PC, Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo platforms.
