The cosplayer spent all night making the cursed costume.

Cosplay is not only a tribute to the characters from shows, games and movies that have moved us, but also an opportunity to try something new and improve our skill with needle and thread. With all of this in mind, TikToker staplesandglue has shown us that a sexy Golbat cosplay is possible.

Yes, sexy Golbat. The idea actually arose from a meme on Reddit showing Golbat wearing fishnet stockings and red high heels. One of staplesandglue's friends sent her the image in their group chat and their friends pleaded with them to attempt to make that cursed image a reality. I don't think sexy Pokémon was ever on The Pokémon Company's bingo card for 2021, especially as it has been organising all sorts of events and promotions to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the series of monster hunting games.

This year, we've gotten the reveals for New Pokémon Snap, Pokémon Legends Arceus and Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. Moreover, Pokémon Unite is a MOBA on Switch and mobiles that's shaking up the genre, and we've got just the guide for you.

Oh, yeah, did you see Palworld? The not-Pokémon game that looks an awful lot like Pokémon and seems to involve these cute critters in manufacturing automatic rifles in depressingly dismal factories? I feel like you'd remember if you did. Watch the gameplay below.

So, staplesandglue already owned a blue bodysuit so that part of the sexy Pokémon cosplay was complete. Then, it required a late night trip to Walmart to buy the paper to sketch out the design. The staff member is clearly overjoyed to see her when the store is so close to closing time. They head home with paper in tow and sit down at their workbench with a glass of wine.

Cutting out the wings and spray painting them purple, the next step was to attach sponge and holsters to the wings so that they could slide onto the cosplayer's arms. The face of the Pokémon is probably the most straightforward feature, though staplesandglue has exceptionally steady hands for those clean lines as they're painting. The final product is something to behold, truly.
