An artist has given us a glimpse of what actor Michael Fassbender would look like if he donned the cape and armor of Doctor Doom and fans are very much on board for this idea.
Doctor Doom is considered to be one of Marvel Comics' deadliest villains, combining a unique intellect, unsettling ambition and incredible proficiency with the mystic arts and technological expertise. As a result, the heroes who summoned the nerve to take him on - the Fantastic Four as well as Spider-Man, Iron Man, Doctor Strange and others - have had a time of it trying to best his unparalleled abilities.
Actor Julian McMahon played Victor Von Doom in Fantastic Four and its sequel Rise of the Silver Surfer in 2005 and 2007, and Toby Kebbell took on the role in the 2015 film. Following the poor performance of the most recent outing for the quartet of heroes, Kebbell said that he would be game to return to the character on the condition that Victor Von Doom appears in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Two years after that comment, Disney acquired 20th Century Fox, integrating properties like Fantastic Four, X-Men, Avatar, The Simpsons and more into its portfolio. So, it goes to show that if you wish upon a Hollywood star, your dream comes true.

A Fantastic Four reboot is in the works with Disney, yet, details are light on the ground. Jon Watts, who directed Spider-Man: Homecoming, Far From Home and No Way Home, is attached to the film as per an announcement from Kevin Feige in 2020. Castings are also unconfirmed at the moment but that won't stop fans from clamouring for their favourites. One such example is this work from artist Skull101ify who has created a concept of what Michael Fassbender would look like as the nefarious Doctor Doom. Check it out:
Of course, Fassbender played Erik Lensherr, also known as Magneto, in the X-Men prequels. That doesn't necessarily exclude him from portraying a second Marvel Comics character because Gemma Chan has played Minn-Erva and Sersei in Captain Marvel and Eternals respectively. Fans are very impressed with the artist's piece, with comments saying that Skull101ify has "nailed it" depicting Fassbender with the tragic facial scars and glowing green eyes of the villain. We'll have to wait and see whether Disney is similarly inspired.
