'Mafia: Definitive Edition' Will Be Free On PlayStation Next Month

Welcome to the family

At this point, I’m not sure it’s even worth Sony officially announcing its free games. They just keep leaking ahead of time, after all.

Take yesterday, for example. French outlet Dealabs leaked the PlayStation Plus November 2021 free games: Knockout City, Kingdoms Of Amalur: Re-Reckoning, First Class Trouble, and The Walking Dead: Saints And Sinners. While most of these have yet to be confirmed, Sony did announce First Class Trouble would be free for PS Plus subscribers from November 2, which effectively confirms the rest. That also marks the sixth month in a row the PS Plus games have leaked ahead of an actual reveal.

With that in mind, it probably won’t come as much of a shock to learn that a good portion of the PlayStation Now free games for November have also been leaked. The same source who shared the PS Plus freebies has claimed that Now subscribers can also look forward to Mafia: Definitive Edition and Celeste

If we're being honest with ourselves, that’s a much better selection than the PS Plus free games. Mafia: Definitive Edition is a ground-up remake of the beloved 2002 crime game that’s well worth your time. Meanwhile, Celeste is… well, Celeste is one of the most punishing, rewarding, and beautifully written video games ever made. You definitely owe it to yourself to check that one out.

Again, I should stress that none of this has been officially announced yet. But Dealabs has accurately leaked PS Now and PS Plus games successfully for the last couple of months, and we’ve no reason to believe its source has run dry just yet. Unfortunately for Sony.

Anyway, play Celeste. You won’t regret it.
