The Continental, a prequel to the John Wick series which is slated to release in 2023, is now set to stream through Peacock as Starz has since stated that the show is no longer a fit for its brand.
As per the report, Starz is much more focused on encouraging and growing its female and other demographics in its customers with shows like Outlander and Power. The Continental is set in the 1970s and follows a younger Winston Scott as he steps into the shoes of becoming the hotel's manager. Real world events like the rise of the American mafia and the Great Garbage Strike will inform the storyline.

“The John Wick films have become a global phenomenon, are among the most watched titles on Peacock and we are thrilled and honored to partner with Lionsgate to extend this incredible franchise,” said president Kelly Campbell in a press release supplied to Deadline. “We understand the value of a global franchise and Val Boreland and [the] team knew that by bringing this special event series to Peacock and putting the full power of NBCUniversal behind it, the premiere of The Continental will be the streaming event of the year.”
