Incredible Easter Egg Proves ‘Horizon Forbidden West’ Is The Best Looking Game Out There

Incredible Easter Egg Proves ‘Horizon Forbidden West’ Is The Best Looking Game Out There

One Reddit user found a vantage point that allows you view almost all of Horizon Forbidden West's map - including four of its Tallnecks.

I know I’m not alone in thinking that Horizon Forbidden West boasts some of gaming’s most stunning vistas. Guerrilla Games’ latest title really shows the capabilities of the PlayStation 5. I didn’t think it was possible for me to love the game anymore than I already do but several months after release, fans continue to spot unique details and this latest easter egg is quite something.

Horizon Forbidden West’s map contains a variety of landscapes. You’ll travel through deserts, jungles and forests just to name a few, but I bet you didn’t know that you could view almost all of the game’s huge map from one vantage point. Let me tell you more because this is a thing of beauty.

Check out some of Horizon Forbidden West's beautiful landscapes from the ground in this incredible gameplay footage of the Shrine Walk area.

Reddit user onlylaiden recently discovered that if you climb to the top of The Mountain, you’re treated to an epic 360 degree view of the Forbidden West - and can even spot four of the game’s six Tallnecks. Take a look below.

As a reminder, The Mountain is the main base for Aloy within the game. It’s not something you’re required to climb to the top of which is probably why no one’s discovered this vantage point until now.

Horizon Forbidden West takes every opportunity it can to flaunt its incredible topography, yet despite many hours spent exploring atop the back of a Sunwing, I still wasn’t prepared for just how stunning the game’s map would look in onlylaiden’s discovery.

The clarity of Horizon Forbidden West’s environment is top-tier. I don’t think there’s a game out there right now that could beat it, so you best bet I’ll be checking out this virtual view for myself as soon as possible.
