Despite its unfortunate delay, we’re not far away at all from the release of Hogwarts Legacy. The open-world wizarding RPG is set to release on 10 February 2023, and will feature spell-casting, broomstick flight, magical creatures to befriend, classes to attend, and much more. The latest trailer, revealed last night during Gamescom’s opening night, even showcased the Unforgivable Curses, and seemingly revealed a split storyline depending on if players decide to delve into the dark arts or not.
Take a look at the new Hogwarts Legacy trailer below.
If you can hardly wait to get your hands on the game, pre-orders will finally be going live tomorrow, 25 August, at 8AM Pacific Time (that’s 4PM for UK readers). Excitingly, last night’s trailer also confirmed that the Digital Deluxe Edition’s bonuses are almost exactly as speculated from a previous leak - players who pre-order will receive the Dark Arts Garrison Hat, as well as the Dark Arts Pack, which includes the Thestral Mount, Dark Arts Cosmetic Set, and the Dark Arts Battle Arena. Also included is the Onyx Hippogriff Mount, which wasn’t mentioned in the leak, and most excitingly, as we all hoped, 72 hours early access to the game. A physical Deluxe Edition will also be available.

GameSpot report that a Collector’s Edition of the game will be shown off on the Hogwarts Legacy YouTube channel later today (2PM UK time), and it’ll apparently contain all of the Deluxe Edition’s bonuses, as well as the Kelpie Robe (which is an in-game item), a steelbook game case, and a “life-size Floating Ancient Magic Wand with Book Base”. Reportedly, this will cost a whopping $290-$300 (£245-£254), so that’s definitely one for the biggest fans - be sure to set alarms for the pre-order time so that you don’t miss out.
