Hogwarts Legacy player finds area of the map we weren't supposed to see

A Hogwarts Legacy player has found an area on the map that we’re not supposed to see.

Originally released in February 2023, Hogwarts Legacy quickly became the Harry Potter game of fans’ dreams.

Through its compelling story set in the 1890s, the game lets us explore the gorgeous halls of Hogwarts Castle like never before as well as its surrounding areas such as the sinister Forbidden Forest.

“Experience Hogwarts in the 1800s. Your character is a student who holds the key to an ancient secret that threatens to tear the wizarding world apart. Make allies, battle Dark wizards, and ultimately decide the fate of the wizarding world. Your legacy is what you make of it,” reads the synopsis. “Live the Unwritten.”

Hogwarts Legacy earned a respectable Metacritic score of 84 and later went on to become the best-selling game of 2023.

Now, fans eagerly await the announcement of Hogwarts Legacy 2 which could be inspired by the upcoming Harry Potter TV series from HBO.

However, while we wait for the inevitable announcement of Hogwarts Legacy 2, there’s still plenty of fun to be had in the original game, whether or not some of that fun was intended by its developer Avalanche Software.

“I found a way to fly under the map,” revealed Redditor tribbans95. “It actually lets you fly back up through the ground too like nothing ever happened.”

“Cool, I can finally collect all my spider fangs,” joked (but not joking) LionessRegulus7249.

Another Reddit user asked how this glitch was exploited and tribbans95 was happy to explain and shared an image of an exact location.

Hogwarts Legacy is out now on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch. We'll keep you posted as soon as we hear further information on the expected Wizarding World sequel.
