Hogwarts Legacy free DLC is perfect for Halloween, fans agree

I’m imagining most of you have devoured Hogwarts Legacy’s The Haunted Hogsmeade Shop DLC by now, and I could hardly blame you for doing so.

If free DLC launches for a game that I love, you’d best believe that I’ll be straight in there to play it.

On the off chance that ticking The Haunted Hogsmeade Shop off your to-do list has escaped you, this may actually be a good thing.

You see, The Haunted Hogsmeade Shop is easily the game’s spookiest quest and as such, Hogwarts Legacy fans are decreeing that it’s the perfect DLC to play at Halloween.

For the uninitiated, The Haunted Hogsmeade Shop sees players attempt to occupy a - you guessed it - haunted shop from Cassandra Mason, located in Hogsmeade.

Shortly after acquiring the property, you’re tricked into entering a sprawling secret basement ruled by a poltergeist.

If you want to escape, you’re going to have to put a stop to Fastidio, the poltergeist, once and for all.

It’s easily one of the most well-designed quests in the game, featuring a couple of spooky segments involving mannequins.

As a nice bonus, when you’ve completed the quest, you can sell your wares in the shop for 10% more than in other game locations.

Upon release, The Haunted Hogsmeade Shop was exclusive to PlayStation but has since launched across all platforms.

Unsurprisingly, most people dived in immediately but should you still have it lying about, let this be your signal that next month is the perfect time to experience Fastidio’s tricks for yourself.
