Hogwarts Legacy DLC needs to do one thing above all else, fans agree

Please Avalanche Studios, make this happen!

Released in February this year, a lot of fans have presumably seen everything there is to see in Hogwarts Legacy, and fans are hoping that the action RPG will benefit from future DLC.

At this time there are no signs that developers Avalanche Software plans to expand upon the story and world of Hogwarts Legacy with future DLC or content updates. However, that hasn't stopped some fans wishing for the best and a recent suggestion on Reddit would certainly be a welcomed addition.

“I wish we could change the seasons after completing the main story,” pleaded Redditor jes12345678. “I will be living permanently in autumn.” That would certainly be a cool feature, especially being able to transform the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry into a winter wonderland during the Yuletide Ball season.

“I also wanted to be able to change the seasons,” agreed XLordTigerX. “I finished the game two weeks after launch and I thought that at some point they would put in this option via an update, apparently they won't, it can't be that hard to implement this feature”

There is some hope though, but there is a catch. “There’s a new Nexus mod that allows you to do that if you’re on PC,” revealed pastadudde. I’m not 100%, but this might be the season mod that the Reddit user could be on about.

“I agree! I didn’t know there were seasons in the game when I first got it and was surprised when the seasons changed. It’s such a cool detail,” exclaimed axendrale. “I would love to live during Christmas the most. I love how festive everything looks! Autumn and Halloween are a close second.”

Unfortunately, it’s unlikely that the developers would have seen this Reddit discussion, but you never know, because this would be an awesome free content update if there ever was one.

In related news, fans rejoice as a new open-world Harry Potter game was recently spotted online and Hogwarts Legacy continues to be the best-selling game of 2023 so far, despite the launch of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Hogwarts Legacy is out now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. Following a series of delays, it is also currently scheduled to be released on Nintendo Switch on 14 November 2023.
