So, a brand new trailer for the Halo TV adaptation just dropped, and it’s given us a much bigger look at what we can expect from the series, as well as that all important release date. Exciting times.

While yes, this is all very clearly Halo, it’s apparent that this isn’t the exact same story we all remember from the first game. For starters, Master Chief isn’t the last surviving Spartan, and it also seems like we might be seeing elements of plot points from newer games in the series, like our favourite Spartan not being trusted. Either way, there’s a lot to unpack here - check it out below.

One thing is for certain - the whole thing is clearly very high budget. Unfortunately though, there is a distinct lack of actual Halo music in the trailer, which is a pity given how good the original soundtrack is. Maybe it’ll make an appearance in the actual show, but it would be strange for it not to be showed off in the teasers if that was the case.

In case you missed it, the series stars Pablo Schreiber as Master Chief, Natascha McElhone as Dr. Catherine Halsey, and Jen Taylor as Cortana (her actual voice actor, we love to see it). The all important news though, yes - the series premieres on exclusively on Paramount+ on 24 March. Not long to wait now - get those calendars marked.
