‘Halo Infinite’ Campaign Trailer Shows Off Brilliant New Look And A Retro Cortana

Fans had been twiddling their thumbs, waiting for more from the campaign.

Today, we got another glimpse of the campaign content of Halo Infinite, and it’s safe to say that fans are thrilled to be back in the world that 343 Industries has crafted.

I’ll tell you for a fact now that Tom and Dean are levitating simply thinking about the possibilities that this gameplay overview has for the classic first-person shooter series. When the two dipped their toes into the first multiplayer flight, they praised the “fresh new flourishes” that 343 Industries has integrated into a game that feels like Halo is back, back again.

It’s a deserved outcome when we consider the issues and setbacks that that game has suffered over the course of its development. Lest we forget that Infinite should have been a launch title for the Xbox Series X and S, but the pandemic threw a wrench in things as well as the fan feedback from the first showcase of the game.

Check out the new campaign trailer below!

Fortunately, this gameplay overview reveal is thrilling players with explosive gameplay, the threat of the Banished, and the gorgeous open vistas. The enemies have solidified their presence on the planet with forts and strongholds that the player will take over to tip the scales in humanity’s favour.

"The Banished have defeated UNSC forces and taken control of the mysterious Zeta Halo, threatening the survival of humankind," reads the description underneath the YouTube stream. "When all hope is lost and humanity’s fate hangs in the balance, the Master Chief returns to confront the most ruthless foe he’s ever faced. Here’s a fresh look at the Halo Infinite campaign that introduces players to true Spartan freedom in the biggest, most wide open and adventure-filled Halo experience yet."

Halo Infinite will be released for PC, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and Xbox One on December 8th.
