GTA fans are growing concerned. Rockstar Games officially announced Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition over a month ago, but the company has yet to show off any of the three remastered games in action.
Aside from a brief announcement trailer a few weeks back showing off a few flashes of gameplay and cutscenes, Rockstar has neglected to show off anything more. We’ve been told the remasters of GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas feature an overhauled UI and improved gameplay features that make it feel more like GTA V, but we haven’t been shown.

Given the remastered package launches tomorrow (November 11), that’s a bit of a problem. Clearly Rockstar is so confident in the ability of this collection to sell a sickening amount that it doesn’t need to market it very much at all.

Fortunately, some lucky players have managed to get their hands on the game early, and have been showing off exactly what the remasters look like. You can rest easy too, because they look genuinely great. Each of the three games has retained its unique PS2 era style while boasting some properly lovely graphical enhancements. But more importantly, they look much, much better to play. A GTA V-style weapon wheel, improved gun controls, and more all make for what looks to be a way smoother experience.
