Grand Theft Auto Online players are paying tribute to rally legend and YouTube star Ken Block who has sadly passed away at the age of 55. Block was involved in a snowmobile accident near his ranch in the Mill Hollow area of Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, Utah. The vehicle overturned on a steep slope, afflicting Block with fatal injuries. Block was pronounced dead at the scene, according to local authorities.

As reported by VG247, GTA Online players have begun recreating Block’s iconic Mustang in the game to pay tribute to the icon. Due to design constraints, players aren’t able to make an exact replica, but they have successfully captured the car’s defining qualities - from the black body colour to the green and yellow decals. Take a look below at one example created by user Mathiasxd148-.

Ken Block maintained a strong presence in the gaming space. The rally legend appeared in Colin McRae: Dirt 2, Dirt 3, and 2015’s Need for Speed, plus several of his Hoonigan-branded vehicles were included in Dirt: Showdown and several Forza titles. Fans took to Reddit to share their condolences.

Reddit user Extyrsys said, “I found out through this post here. F**k. He was my driving idol and the reason I got into cars and motorsports. Because of him, rally became my favourite motorsport. RIP.” AdorableStatictician added, “Totally sucks. Loved watching his and the Hoonigans videos. RIP.”

Breaking the news, Hoonigan Racing Division wrote, “It’s with our deepest condolences that we can confirm that Ken Block passed away in a snowmobile accident today. Ken was a visionary, a pioneer and an icon and most importantly, a father and husband. He will be incredibly missed.” GAMINGbible extends its condolences to Ken’s friends and family.
