A batch of GTA VI trailer “errors” has prompted some fans to fear that a delay is on the way.
Long before the next entry in Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto series graces us with its presence, GTA VI is long underway to become the biggest video game launch of all time.
During its first few days of sale, when GTA V launched in 2013 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, it shifted 11 million copies, generating an estimated $800 million, and that soon became a billion.
It’s quite baffling to think that any game could topple the first week sales of GTA V, but if there’s any game that can do that, it will be GTA VI.

The first trailer for GTA VI was revealed in December 2023, and then we had to wait over a year for its second. Now, fans will be hoping that GTA VI trailer three is just around the corner.
The next earnings call for Rockstar Games’ parent company, Take-Two Interactive, takes place on 6 November 2025, so hopefully, the highly anticipated third trailer for GTA VI won't be too far behind.
In the meantime, fans are still creating content from the second GTA VI trailer that was released earlier this year, such as the Twitter account, ‘GTA 6 Countdown’, highlighting the many “errors” of said trailer.
That being said, as pointed about by some Twitter users in the thread, some of these aren't actually errors. Such as Jason hitting “the brakes without physically using the bike’s brake lever”. Kendall Goslee replied, “That’s a front brake. The rear brake is on the right foot. No mistake here.”
Others include missed shadows or textures. Nonetheless, a user may have taken the “errors” to heart, fearing that a delay is inevitable. But there is also a lot of sarcasm in the thread.

“Rockstar QA Manager seeing this be like, it’s delay day,” claimed a user, quoting the 2002 movie, Gangs of New York.
“Nah, I've seen enough,” exclaimed LeonidaGTA6 in jest. “Cancelling my pre-order; literally unplayable.”
“When the game actually comes out, every single mistake and bug will be scrutinised to the next level,” exclaimed rockstationonx.
“All of those should already be polished up more ahead of the game to become gone Gold,” suggested LolaClemntine.

It’s, of course, worth keeping in mind that the footage seen in this trailer is by no means the final product, as great as it looks. The second trailer was released over a year before the current GTA VI launch date.
At the time of writing, Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to be released on 26 May 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. A PC port hasn't been announced yet.
