At the time of writing, there are two official trailers for Grand Theft Auto VI out in the world.
The first was released back in December 2023 and the second finally followed last month with both confirming that players would be returning to Vice City, following the escapades of brand-new protagonists Jason and Lucia in a Bonny and Clyde-esque adventure.
Check out the second GTA VI trailer below!
With Grand Theft Auto VI set to be released on 26 May 2026, there is just over a year to go until we finally get our hands on the highly-anticipated Rockstar title.

That means there will still be plenty more trailers set to be released between now and then.
However, with trailer one and two mainly focusing on cinematics (with a sprinkling of gameplay added to trailer two), players are wondering what the third trailer will feature.
More specifically, wondering if it will give us our first glimpse at its GTA Online component.
Despite Grand Theft Auto V being released over a decade ago, its GTA Online accompaniment is still played by millions to this day. So it is perhaps no surprise that fans are eager to see what Rockstar has added to GTA VI Online.

“Do you think trailer #3 will be about gameplay or online?” one user recently posted on r/GTA6.
“I definitely think we will be getting two more trailers this year, gameplay and online, but it really depends on which one will be trailer 3. I personally think they will go for gameplay and then online, I highly doubt they will make another story trailer now that we have two.”
The comments soon filled up with people dropping their own thoughts on the next trailer and it seems as though they are feeling divided.
“Most likely gameplay, but closer to release,” one user commented. “I don't expect anything until the Christmas period.”

User legionaw added, “This might be more of a thing for screenshots than for a trailer, but I hope we will also get to see what the interface will look like. e.g. HUD, weapons wheel, menu, cell phone, and so on. That is another aspect I am interested in. I don't want just eye candies... I want to see the workings, if that makes sense.”
With most players believing that any mention of Online won’t be until at least next year, it seems we have a bit of a wait to see what Rockstar has been cooking.
Oh well, just another year to go.
