GTA VI will apparently be Rockstar Games’ longest story game ever, they’re absolutely spoiling us.
Starring two new protagonists Jason and Lucia, GTA VI will tell a Bonnie & Clyde-style story with the pair presumably trying to live a peaceful life before falling back into crime.
There’s already a lot of speculation as to what could happen to them both throughout the story, with some even believing one or both of them won’t make it to the game’s credits alive.
While we can’t say for certain whether that’s the case or not the latest word is it’ll take a fair whack of time to get anywhere near the credits, as GTA VI is said to be Rockstar’s longest story yet.

It’s claimed the game will be split into five chapters, with the total playtime required for the story itself being 75 hours.
For reference, HowLongToBeat says GTA V’s storyline can be finished in 32 hours, and Red Dead Redemption 2 can be completed in around 50 hours. That’s before any side questing or 100% completion quests are taken into account.
If GTA VI is as large as it seems, and the story is 75 hours long, that implies there’ll be hundreds and hundreds of hours worth of content especially if you want to complete it fully.
It almost sounds too good to be true so be sure to take it with a pinch of salt, but given how long the game has been in development for it’s not entirely unbelievable. Red Dead Redemption 2 is also hailed as the pinnacle of singleplayer story games as well so it’d make sense why Rockstar would strive to produce something even better.

We simply can’t wait for GTA VI to come out next year, so hopefully those rumours of a September 2025 delay aren’t true…
