When playing Grand Theft Auto V, sometimes you just had to follow the road laws, pop the radio on and cruise through the streets of Los Santos.

Thanks to the game's incredible selection of music, this was a common occurrence for a lot of players.

With 22 in-game stations and 400 songs, Grand Theft Auto V’s radio was the best of its time and allowed players to take to the streets, whether in epic chases or on a casual cruise, whilst listening to some incredible tunes.

Featuring everything from the Pet Shop Boys to Queen, country to rock, metal to classic, it had everything so it is no wonder that fans are eager to see how Grand Theft Auto VI has improved on an already amazing feature.

That is why a conversation recently kicked off over on r/GTA6 which saw fans of the Rockstar franchise talk about the future of in-game music.

“Anyone else kinda excited for new music in GTA VI?” The post read.

“One of my fave things in GTA V was to just drive aimlessly and swap radio stations and find new music. Anyone else keen to see what new music shows up and what new radio stations are introduced? Also kinda can't wait to see what hilarious radio segments come up where it’s just some outlandish commentary."

What followed was a bunch of comments praising Grand Theft Auto V’s choice of music, adding what fans would like to see included in the highly anticipated GTA VI.

“Yeah, I'm more looking forward to the ambient music,” warp5harp commented.

“GTA V had great music. The pause menu, wanted themes, mission themes etc were so amazing.”

Alternative-Phone-35 said, “GTA V had such an impact on my music taste.”

Another user summed it up perfectly: “Definitely. Rockstar always had immaculate music taste and I discovered so many great artists just by playing the game. Really excited for VI."

Grand Theft Auto VI is expected to launch in fall 2025 so it is not long until we find out how Rockstar can improve on greatness.
