There’s never a ‘normal day’ for GTA VI fans - there’s always something, right? They’ve either got to watch the phases of the moon, get their hopes up for a new trailer, or make memes in order to cope.
After Rockstar Games announced their new Discord server through their social channels, fans gathered on Reddit and began cracking up.

The Reddit thread simply shared the announcement, and the replies are various responses of extreme coping, or jokes.
“I'm SURE this is a sign of nothing to come,” said HippoRun23 in the top reply.
After months of silence after the first trailer for GTA VI dropped, many have been wondering if Rockstar Games is letting the game market itself through hype and word of mouth.
This hasn’t escaped the notice of mrdrunkmaster, who posted an image of a sleepy monkey and said, “Is their marketing campaign finally starting?”
“I think we are going to see the release date with Trailer 2,” comments Ramx09x, huffing on the copium, as the kids say.
To be fair to Rockstar Games, this could indeed be their way of controlling the narratives and pushing into a direct way to market the game to the most die-hard fans.
Discord is a great way to connect with the community and, as GoGoKushRanger notes, “I’d expect some but think it will play a much bigger role long term for community connect, mod servers and anything in between.”

Things could be ramping up, as Little_Macaron6842 hopes, saying, “I genuinely hope the silence ends in April I was betting on a late May-July trailer 2 release, but it might come sooner than I thought.”
Time will tell, but it’s also running out as we edge closer to the potential release date.
