With Take-Two confirming that Grand Theft Auto VI is still on track for a Fall 2025 release, fans have already started thinking of ways to avoid work so that they can dive right into the highly-anticipated title on launch.

Despite rumours circulating online about a potential delay, Take-Two Interactive reassured fans last week by announcing that Grand Theft Auto VI is still scheduled for a Fall 2025 release.

Check out the trailer for GTA VI below!

With the most anticipated game of all time expected to launch any time between September and November, there are just a few months left to wait until we finally get our hands on the Rockstar title.

However, with many fans having waited over a decade for this moment, it is perhaps no wonder that they are not taking any chances when it comes to having the time off to play GTA VI.

In a recent discussion over on r/GTA6, one post read: “What will be your excuse to avoid work, duties, and responsibilities to play GTA 6?”

What followed was over 300 comments with fans revealing their excuses for clearing their schedule later this year.

One comment read, “Nothing, I'll just simply straight up proclaim I've got GTA 6 to play, I'm sure everyone will understand we've been waiting over 10 mfing years... right?

Smack bang 12:00AM midnight release time I'll text everyone "It's been nice knowing you...."”

For MaccDaddyFist, they need no excuses.

“Don't need an excuse,” they wrote.

“I'm a grown man with a love for video games and I work enough to take half a year off if I feel like it.”

However, for CallyRaven, some things are more important.

“Can’t take a day off in my 'job',” they explained.

“I'm a carer for my father, I'll have to hope my (grown up) daughter takes pity on me and lets me have a couple of hours off.

I'm gutted having waited for so long for the game but time with my dad now is precious.”

Whatever your excuse, you had better consider booking that time off now before it’s too late.
