There are just a few months left to go until we finally get our hands on Grand Theft Auto VI and fans are already planning how they will celebrate the night before the big release.

With a fall 2025 release window, the launch of Grand Theft Auto VI is imminent and with fans having spent the last decade with Grand Theft Auto V, they are gearing up to say goodbye to Rockstar’s latest instalment in the much-loved series.

It will be a bittersweet moment, as despite the long wait for GTA VI, many of us have grown up cruising the streets of Los Santos and that is exactly how fans are planning to commemorate the final night.

Posted to the GTA 6 Unlimited Twitter account, one recent post read, “The night before GTA VI releases. One last drive” alongside a crying emoji and a map of the route that they will be taking the night before the big release.

The route will see them drive along the outskirts of Rockstar’s impressive map from the city of Los Santos to the desert streets of Sandy Shores.

The streets are familiar to all of us and this will be the perfect way to say goodbye to our home away from home.

“Would be pretty epic if full servers participated in a group drive,” one user commented.

Another said: “Bro, driving this route with the bros one more time is gonna be so emotional.”

With the drive reportedly taking around 10 minutes, getting into your favourite car, switching on Non-Stop Pop and hitting that throttle will be an emotional time to say the least, but I’m sure the sad emotions won’t be high for long with GTA VI expecting to launch the next day.

User Hazir added, “This is the ride we’ll talk about for years.”

  • Grand Theft Hamlet is a chaotic and anarchic ode to Shakespeare and GTA
  • No games should be worth £100, not even GTA 6
  • GTA VI's release could be a good thing for the video game industry
  • GTA 6 at $100 will not 'save' video games
