GTA 6 release date update has fans more hopeless than ever

For the gaming community, a company’s Earnings Call is a chance for them to get an update for a highly-anticipated title which could shed some light on its expected release date.
That has definitely been the case in the past with Rockstar Games and its parent company, Take-Two Interactive who have regularly shared its Earnings Call updates in order to keep fans up to date with how Grand Theft Auto VI is coming along.

As it stands, Grand Theft Auto VI is still expected to launch in Fall 2025 but with Rockstar not having released a trailer in well over a year, fans are starting to feel as though a delay may be inevitable.
Luckily, Take-Two is set for another Earnings Call on 15 May and although this would usually mean a confirmation on the release date for the next Grand Theft Auto instalment, fans are not feeling as optimistic.
Taking to r/GTA6 recently, user Kokito23 had the following to say:
“As much as I, and everyone wants official GTA 6 news, I don’t believe we’ll get anything in 20 days or less.
I believe they’re gonna have their earnings call just like last time and reiterate the Fall 2025 release and that’s it.
We probably won’t get anything official from them until June/July. What yall think?”
Comments soon came flooding in and featured a mix of optimism and straight-up fear over a possible delay.
“It'll be good news if they still iterate the Fall 2025 release,” the top comment by Gaghet read.
However, user TheRed24 thought about it a bit more logistically.
“They'll definitely still reiterate it's coming Fall 2025 to the investors, but this still doesn't mean it definitely won't be delayed,” they shared.
“They could literally decide to delay a month or two before its internally planned release window which is roughly September-October, so we might not hear about a delay until August if a delay is happening.”
It seems as though fans are still holding out hope for now so let us hope this doesn’t change when 15 May rolls around.
