GTA VI is set to drop next year as publisher Take-Two Interactive finally teases its release date.

It’s been well over a year since developer Rockstar Games announced that it was working on the next instalment of the ever-popular Grand Theft Auto franchise. Yet, despite endless rumours and GTA VI gameplay leaks, we feel no closer to knowing exactly when the game will be released.

However, as reported by IGN, it seems that there’s a good chance that Grand Theft Auto VI could be released in 2024. The potential release window was hinted at during a recent yearly earnings report by Take-Two Interactive.

The publisher predicted a big year for the company for its fiscal years 2025 and 2026. Sure, GTA VI could release during that time, but the fiscal year for 2025 begins in April 2024. So while it’s not set in stone, it could mean that GTA VI might release at any point from April next year.

“Looking ahead, Fiscal 2025 is a highly anticipated year for our Company," reads the earnings report. “For the last several years, we have been preparing our business to release an incredibly robust pipeline of projects that we believe will take our company to even greater levels of success.

“In Fiscal 2025, we expect to enter this new era by launching several groundbreaking titles that we believe will set new standards in our industry and enable us to achieve over $8 billion in Net Bookings and over $1 billion in Adjusted Unrestricted Operating Cash Flow. We expect to sustain this momentum by delivering even higher levels of operating results in Fiscal 2026 and beyond.”

In related news, a recent leak hinted at GTA VI’s unreal water physicals which could play a part in the game's side activities. What’s more, a potential voice actor in GTA VI may have dropped a hint that an announcement is about to happen.

Hopefully, Rockstar Games will release official details on Grand Theft Auto VI, in the coming months.
