GTA 6 fans 'cancelling their pre-orders' over new trailer

You've messed up, Rockstar

Earlier this month saw Rockstar put a stop to the constant pleading by finally releasing the second official trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI.

With the first trailer having been released way back in December 2023, it makes sense that fans were eager to see more and Rockstar definitely delivered by releasing a brand-new trailer, screenshots and clips, and even a dedicated website complete with all the information we have been craving.

Check out the moment in question in the trailer for GTA VI below!

For those who were unsure about Grand Theft Auto VI, the second trailer put all doubts to rest as we saw how much work had been put into the highly-anticipated title over the past few years.

From bubbles being noticeable in beers to creases in clothes being accurate to real-life physics, it is clear that Rockstar have been focusing on every little detail.

Or have they?

Spotted by one user over on r/GTA6, Rockstar may have featured a small blunder in the second trailer which has many threatening to cancel their pre-orders (not that pre-orders are available just yet).

“Light appears before gunshot,” the user posted, alongside a series of screenshots taken from the trailer.

It shows brand-new protagonist Jason peeking out of a car window and shooting an off-screen assailant with a pistol.

However, the light from the shot illuminates his face before the weapon even goes off.

Absolutely ruined it, Rockstar.

“That’s it, pre order cancelled,” user ScottRans0m shared.

User pwrsrc agreed, adding, “Literally unplayable. I can’t believe this garbage.”

With many now calling GTA VI unplayable after this discovery, it is a sad day for Rockstar indeed.

Ok, of course these people are joking (at least I hope so) but it definitely goes to show how dedicated fans will be to looking for any potential mistakes.

Grand Theft Auto VI arrives on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on 26 May 2026.
