Last month saw Rockstar release the long awaited second trailer for GTA VI and players are convinced that an iconic scene is actually a gameplay tease.
It had been well over a year since Rockstar Games released the first official trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI which finally confirmed two of game’s biggest rumours: it would see players return to Vice City and it would feature new protagonists Jason and Lucia who will embark on a Bonnie and Clyde-esque adventure.
Just as fans were beginning to lose hope with GTA VI’s development and following the news of a year-long delay, Rockstar surprised us all by dropping the second official trailer just last month.

Featuring just under 3-minutes of brand-new content, fans were also treated to 70+ new screenshots and clips as well as a dedicated website which gave us more information on the game as a whole, its setting and impressive character roster.
The trailer was impressive to say the least but what made it all the more exciting was that Rockstar came forward to reveal that actual gameplay moments were embedded throughout the cinematics and as you can imagine, fans were quick to dive back in to try and work out the difference.
That is what one user over on r/GTA6 has been doing and they are convinced that a certain trailer moment is just one example of gameplay.
“I am 100% convinced this is actual gameplay footage,” they shared, alongside a scene of Lucia blowing up a convoy of police cars in a chase.

“This looks like one of those “shoot then while i drive” mission sequences.
The way the camera is positioned, just without a HUD and it has been confirmed by Rockstar themselves that the trailer did in fact contain gameplay.”
Of course, this has not been confirmed but if this is an example of gameplay, it is safe to say that we are in for a treat as it looks incredible.
“It really makes me wonder what the rest of the game will be,” another user commented.

Like the shootouts, the gunplay, fist fights. I really want a gameplay trailer.”
Hopefully a gameplay trailer is next on the docket for Rockstar but with GTA VI not expected to launch until 26 May 2026, there may still be a while to wait.
