We are slowly approaching the release of the long-awaited Grand Theft Auto VI and fans are using the downtime to speculate what we could see in the next Rockstar entry. Now according to one fan, we may see a much larger map compared to Rockstar's other projects.

Even if you are not a fan of the franchise, there is no arguing that Grand Theft Auto VI is one of the most anticipated games of all time. Set to launch sometime next year, the next entry in the much-loved Grand Theft Auto series is expected to be bigger and better than ever before. However, with just one official trailer released so far, a lot of its content is up for speculation.

Check out the first official trailer for GTA VI below!

Needless to say, one feature we may see in GTA VI is a much larger map compared to previous Rockstar titles such as Red Dead Redemption 2, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Grand Theft Auto V, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto III.

This rumour comes courtesy of one user over on r/GTA6 who shared an image comparing the various map sizes.

As you can see, the original games in the Grand Theft Auto series featured relatively small maps which isn’t a surprise considering they came out in the early 2000s. In comparison, both Red Dead Redemption 2 and Grand Theft Auto V are on a much larger scale. However, the reported map for GTA VI - pieced together by fans using the trailer and leaks - blows them out of the water.

Set in a fictional Florida and surrounding areas, GTA VI’s map is set to feature the well-known Vice City area as well as the ‘Gator Keys’ swamp areas, the giant lake known as ‘Lake Leonida’ and a whole lot of greenery which could feature mountains, forests and more.

Although we are still not sure exactly what the map will contain, it is clear from what we know already that GTA VI is set to be a massive game and I for one am ready for it.
