The GTA 6 map is going to be massive, there’s no doubt about that.

From what little glimpses we’ve seen of the game so far, it looks like Rockstar Games is working hard to develop a huge open world with plenty to do.

As long-time Grand Theft Auto fans will know, these games usually have an endless number of activities and opportunities to be involved in, ranging from bowling to base jumping. From heists to deep sea diving.

With GTA 6 now two console generations separated from its predecessor, Rockstar has undoubtedly increased the number of activities to do. And this is why an interactive map to keep track of everything is important.

The GTA 6 Interactive Map Project is a community-made project which interprets all promotional material currently released for GTA 6 and places them onto a map of Leonida State.

This way, you can see roughly where each exciting moment from the game’s two trailers takes place, as well as all the screenshots currently released too.

It’s quite an interesting tool, if you ask me.

It’s worth pointing out that Rockstar has not released an official map for GTA 6 yet, so any estimations of what the map will look like in its final form is just that: estimations.

As you can see from the Interactive Map project, there’s a lot of empty green space towards the north of the map.

Likely, Rockstar has refrained from showing these areas in pre-release footage, meaning we don’t have much information on how the map will turn out.

It remains to be seen whether the company will release more information, or even an official map, before launch.

Considering how secretive Rockstar is with the upcoming game, it might be that we even have to wait until release day to see the full map.

Grand Theft Auto 6 will release on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on 26th May, 2026.
