GTA 6 gameplay leaks still sending fans wild: 'this might be the best game ever'

There is no denying that many fans believe that Grand Theft Auto VI is expected to be the greatest game of all time.

However, with just one official trailer to go by and a release date not yet in the calendar, why are people thinking this?

Well, it is courtesy of multiple gameplay leaks that have surfaced online over the past couple of years - and although many the various associated rumours have not yet been confirmed, it is enough to see fans experiencing the hype.

Now with Grand Theft Auto VI looking to be on track for a fall 2025 release, the excitement is building and as a result, fans have been returning back to some original rumours regarding potential gameplay.

One such example was shared to r/GTA6 a year ago and saw a now deleted user share “every gameplay detail I found from the leaked footage”.

The post consists of 69 details covering everything from the setting (which has now officially been confirmed as Vice City and surrounding areas) to a list of the songs heard in the leaked footage.

Some interesting tidbits are that our new protagonists, Jason and Lucia, will reportedly have their own inventory as well as a shared inventory, there is a metro that can be taken at the airport, the gunplay looks similar to that found in Red Dead Redemption 2 and Max Payne 3, and there is an option to surrender to police.

Apparently, players can also take part in yard sales and there are random mugger events which can take place which sounds very Rockstar themed thanks to its love of random events.

As a result, this list has inspired user redditmasterjacob to say, “If all of this stays and they don’t cut a ton of it. This might be the best game ever.”
