Despite Grand Theft Auto VI still being on track to release in fall 2025, there is still much we don’t yet know about the highly-anticipated title.

If there are no more delays (fingers crossed), we are on the home stretch as it is officially one year until the launch of Grand Theft Auto VI.

Check out the first official trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI below!

As the first instalment in the GTA series in over a decade, there is no arguing that this is one of the most anticipated games of all time and as a result, it has a lot to live up to.

There is much we don’t know about GTA VI but we can hazard a guess that it will feature a bustling open world, a whole lot of chaos and action-packed gameplay.

As a result, and according to a recent leak, fans will be playing the Rockstar title for a very long time.

According to Youtuber LegacyKillaHD, there are some things he has learned about GTA VI since talking to its developers.

In a thread shared to Twitter earlier this month, he reveals that GTA VI is expected to be shorter than Red Dead Redemption 2 but will contain a “s**t load of side content”.

“The game is massive, full of a s**t load of side content,” he shared.

“Lots of countryside & towns. Main story is shorter than Red Dead 2, one central theme from a few sources is criminals figuring things out. Family struggles.”

He goes on to share that the story will be a lot more “grounded” but will still feature the “usual insanity” when it comes to missions with some even inspired by the Fast & Furious movies.

LegacyKillaHD also shares a previous rumour that brand-new character Lucia will take the lead, much like Michael did in Grand Theft Auto V.

Her and fellow protagonist Jason will reportedly have separate intro missions.

“One central theme from a few sources is criminals figuring things out. Family struggles,” he said.

“There are corrupt cops/a chief, Russians create chaos, all the things you expect from a GTA game.”

Although it is worth taking these leaks with a pinch of salt, it could mean that GTA VI will be full to the brim with its usual chaos as well as some deeper storylines.

Either way, with a year left to go, the excitement is palpable.
