The radio stations in any Grand Theft Auto game often become one of the biggest highlights, playing a variety of genres, interspersed with skewering comedy skits.
We’ve all had our favourites over the years, and plenty of fans are eagerly looking forward to the soundtrack of GTA VI, though it turns out the first leaked station might be divisive.
Rapper and producer Jermaine Dupree recently appeared on the podcast New Rory and Mal where he accidentally dropped the news that Drake will have his own radio station in the upcoming game.

It could also be a station where artists can upload new tracks, or back catalogue hits, directly into the game, keeping the tunes fresh.
Being able to update track lists would be huge for the game as it can keep the track list current to today’s tastes if the player chooses, so this news comes with a big upside.
Now, Aubrey ‘Drake’ Graham has had a rough 12 months, after taking a massive loss in hip-hop beef against Kendrick Lamar, then finding his music not hitting as hard while dropping tracks that felt like parodies ('Wagwan Delilah', I’m looking at you).
However, this doesn’t take away the fact that Drake is one of the biggest names in hip-hop today, and has garnered billions of streams, winning awards for his craft.

It’s no surprise that Rockstar Games would want to pair with such a music juggernaut, considering his fanbase will likely overlap with GTA, or flock to play it while nodding their heads to 'Toosie Slide'.
Of course, Drake’s music isn’t for everyone and the station could prove to be divisive, not just because fans don’t like the music, but because many will ask where their favourite artist is.
If Rockstar Games is dedicating an entire station to Drake, there will be some artists who want their share of the spotlight in the biggest game of all time.
