Following the news that Grand Theft Auto VI has been delayed for the third time, fans are hopeful that this will at least mean that a new trailer is on the way.
However, despite Google seemingly pushing the release of Grand Theft Auto VI’s “final” trailer, things are not what they seem.
Last week saw Rockstar Games reveal the unfortunate news that Grand Theft Auto VI would be pushed back from 26 May 2026 to 19 November 2026.
This is the third delay that has befallen the highly anticipated title but with previous Rockstar title Red Dead Redemption 2 also being hit with multiple delays, this is not new.
Advert
Nonetheless, with GTA VI expected to be the biggest game launch of all time, it is no surprise that fans are disheartened.
However, with many pointing out the fact that Rockstar released its second GTA VI trailer as an apology for the second delay, fans are holding out for the third trailer to be released any day soon.
At the time of writing, no official third trailer has been released but, thanks to Youtube and Google, one fan-made “final” trailer has been pushed onto many user’s algorithms, much to their dismay.

Created by Youtube channel Teaser Universe, the "Grand Theft Auto VI - Final Trailer (2026) Rockstar Games," is a fan-made trailer as is revealed by the user itself via a disclaimer.
Made using “various effects, sound design, and AI technologies", the trailer has already managed to rack up over 300,000 views which is pretty substantial for the channel which focuses on creating fan-made trailers for some of our favourite shows, movies, and video games.
'Google is behind it'
What makes it all the more confusing is that its myriad of views is thanks to Google which has seemingly been pushing this trailer more than usual.
However, when users are clicking on it amidst the delay confusion and being met with a fake trailer, it is not surprising that the comments are filled with negative comments.
“No way everyone sent here by Google lmao,” the first comment read.
Another agreed, adding, “No way we are getting trolled by Google for a GTA 6 AI trailer before GTA 6.”
Unlike Teaser Universe who clearly marks their videos as fan-made, this is not the case for every creator and with Google helping push these unofficial trailers, the future is looking pretty bleak.
For now, however, we will just have to wait for that official Grand Theft Auto VI trailer ahead of its Fall 2026 release.
