It’s tough being a Grand Theft Auto fan. You awake each day in the hope that Rockstar Games, or their overlords at Take-Two, will see fit to reveal just a smidgen of news about the most anticipated game of all time.

Instead, each day passes, and rather than reveal GTA VI in a new trailer, or give us the launch date, price, or basically any other solid information, they launch another double XP and money weekend for Red Dead Redemption 2.

Please, sir, can I have some more GTA VI?

Over on Reddit, the memes keep on coming, with fans joking that they’re begging for literally any news, and instead, the best Rockstar Games can offer us is a “Red Dead post with 2x bonuses”.

“Let's hear it for two years without news,” laughs JN_Polo.

Another Redditor comments, “Rockstar is literally using this anticipation to keep getting eyeballs on whatever they post next. They know that everyone is waiting for ANYTHING regarding GTA VI, and they use this to keep getting eyes on stuff like RDR2 bonuses and whatever.”

Here’s the thing, it’s all business, and Rockstar Games knows that it doesn't need to say a word and the hype train will keep on rolling.

It could never release another trailer, and everyone would still buy the game.

At this point, all we really need is the price, and the date, then fans will go out in droves and snap up the game.

Of course, it would be lovely for the studio to suddenly drop a 10-minute trailer and show us gameplay, story information, and details on how distracted we’ll be in Vice City.

For now, we’ll have to put up with the never-ending Red Dead Redemption 2 tweets, and let it make its money.

And we’ll keep roasting them, and poking fun at each other’s excitement, because that’s what we do in-between huffs of copium.

Because once that trailer does drop, the internet will go into meltdown.
