Eager fans are awaiting the blockbuster release of GTA VI, scheduled for May 2026, and any news on the game sends many into a frenzy.
After the recent delay and second trailer for GTA VI, Rockstar Games has gone quiet, back into the kitchen to keep cooking up a potentially genre defining game.
It has taken some time, but Xbox players can now wishlist the game through the Xbox Store.

This doesn’t mean a preorder is up quite yet, as we still have no idea on the price Rockstar Games will set for the game.
Will it launch at the possible $100 price point predicted by industry analysts? Or will they follow the likes of Nintendo and set an $80 tag?
All of that is yet to be decided, but fans are happy that the game is finally appearing on the Xbox ecosystem, with many of them taking to Twitter to celebrate.
“Xbox finally got something,” said one Twitter user.

Others are throwing down and resorting to console wars, saying that PlayStation is superior, or begging for a surprise appearance on Steam.
Anything GTA related will send these fans into a tizzy, with them each pecking at one another, vying to put forward their favourite console as the best place to play GTA.
If you scroll through the replies to the announcement being made, it’s a mess of users tagging their mates, scrapping over whether Sony will get some sort of exclusivity, and just being generally hyped over the mere mention of GTA VI.
It’s quite something that one singular game turns so many players rabid, with all of them losing their minds over a game that is still many months away.

That’s the power of Grand Theft Auto and Rockstar Games, and I hope for everyone’s sakes that the final release is worth the wait.
