GTA 6 fans seriously concerned over GTA Online 2

The thought of a GTA Online 2, if you will, should be an addition to the new game fans are looking forward to. Sadly, that isn’t the case.

Truth be told, the GTA VI fandom is quite concerned over what will happen with the online counterpart of the title, specifically if it’ll offer anything worthwhile or different.

As shared by Master100017 on r/GTA, while Rockstar Games will likely introduce “awesome new features”, GTA VI online will pretty much be the same as GTA V online.

Consequently, besides being worried about it, fans are also feeling underwhelmed about GTA Online 2.

“We just have to hope that this time they don’t decide to ignore story mode in favour of online like they did with V,” shared Riley__64.

Faith in Rockstar is in short supply at the moment, as we can see from fans’ reactions to the latest GTA VI update. Take-Two’s assurance should calm them, but fans still fear a delay is coming.

Even if by some miracle that doesn’t happen, the uncertainty surrounding GTA Online’s future is enough to keep fans on edge.

“Guarantee it'll be half-baked like GTA V online was when it came out,” dantheman23312 theorised, as if we need reminding of such awful memories.

Others are fine with the idea of a sequel happening, so long as it doesn’t go down a similar route to Red Dead Online.

It would help ease tension by knowing anything more about the upcoming title; starved of that elusive second trailer, all gamers can do is share rumours and gossip.

With Rockstar still guarding information as if its life depends on it, all we have are theories that undoubtedly compound the anxieties we have about GTA VI.

Hopefully, GTA Online 2 will deliver more than a reskin of what’s gone before, but nobody is holding out much hope right now.
