Although we will still have to wait an entire year for Grand Theft Auto VI to be released, it is not all doom and gloom as Rockstar is reportedly working on yet another remaster.
Earlier this month saw Rockstar announce that Grand Theft Auto VI had been moved from a fall 2025 to a 26 May 2026 release date.
The news came alongside a new trailer.
Although it is disappointing, especially considering we have been waiting over a decade since the last Grand Theft Auto entry, it is worth accepting the delay in order to get the best finished product.

Despite the sad news, Rockstar placated fans by dropping the second official GTA VI trailer alongside 70+ screenshots, new clips, and a brand-new website to learn more about our brand-new criminals and the locations they will find themselves in.
Not only that but according to a recent report, Rockstar is also working on another remaster which will definitely make the wait for GTA VI a whole lot easier.
The rumours suggest that Max Payne 3 is next to receive a remaster.
First released back in 2012 after Rockstar took over the IP from Remedy Entertainment, it seems as though Max Payne 3 is about to get a highly-anticipated revamp which follows on from the news of Remedy working on remakes of the first two entries in the Max Payne trilogy.

According to Rockstar insider Tez2, the studio reportedly has two remasters in the works: Grand Theft Auto IV and now Max Payne 3.
Tez2 believes that the Max Payne 3 remaster will drop shortly after GTA IV Remastered and not only that, but could arrive in a bundle with remasters of the first two Max Payne titles.
Of course, this has not been confirmed by Rockstar but it would definitely make sense for it to be working on remasters of some of its hit games in the background.
It would also be very Rockstar-esque to suddenly drop three new releases after being radio silent for so long.

Let us hope that these rumours are true!
