It may still be a while before we get our hands on Grand Theft Auto VI but in the meantime, this brand-new release gives Grand Theft Auto V a much-needed overhaul.

Inspired by the 2004 action-adventure title Driv3r, this total conversion map mod for Grand Theft Auto V takes us to Miami whilst completely replacing Los Santos and Blaine County.

Check out the official trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 below!

With Grand Theft Auto VI still a year away, players are looking forward to diving into the next Rockstar Games title set in Vice City and surrounding areas.

Telling the story of Jason and Lucia on a Bonny and Clyde-esque adventure, GTA VI is set to arrive some time in 2025 but until then, fans of Grand Theft Auto can check out this free download.

Sunshine Dream (Miami V) by the Sunshine Dream Team on Nexus Mods totally converts GTA V’s map and takes us to the Miami featured in Driv3r.

Although the mod does not include any quests to dive into, players can still explore the map and visit well known locations from Driv3r including: Tanner’s Safehouse, Mortain Mall, Red River Bar, Gold Coast Hotel, and Miami Beach PD.

The latest version of the mod also includes improved traffic, pedestrian navigation, upscaled textures and custom radio stations.

Replacing Los Santos and Blaine County is Miami Beach, Biscayne Bay and Mainland Miami and they are all free to explore at your leisure.

Not only does this mod give a new lease of life to GTA V but it also gives us a sneak peek at what we can expect from Grand Theft Auto VI.

Not only that but it’s the perfect bit of nostalgia for fans of Driv3r in the early 2000s.

This mod and thousands of others are free to download for Grand Theft Auto players on PC.
