Huge GTA 5 multiplayer upgrade confirmed for next 24 hours with visuals to rival GTA 6

GTA RP is set to receive a major visual boost in a matter of days as Rockstar Games’ in-house FiveM team has outlined it’s set to finally become compatible with GTA V Enhanced.
If that’s left you scratching your head, then you’re perhaps not up to speed on Rockstar Games’ official alternative to the traditional GTA V experience.
GTA RP is a multiplayer roleplaying server where you can quietly live out your dream life in Los Santos.
You can play as a law-abiding citizen, repeat offender, or even as a member of the police. That’s the beauty of roleplay; the GTA RP server is whatever you make of it.

GTA RP began as a fan endeavour created by the FiveM team before FiveM was officially snapped up by Rockstar Games back in 2023 and moved in-house.
Since then, GTA RP has continued to improve and evolve with player numbers ranking well above those for the traditional GTA V experience.
GTA V Enhanced originally landed last year, with Rockstar Games making a number of visual improvements to the beloved title.
That included improved ray-tracing and more detailed textures as the free upgrade rolled out on PC before moving over to consoles.
Notably, though, GTA V Enhanced has always lacked compatibility with GTA RP until now.

Rockstar Games’ official GTA V roleplaying server is finally set to receive a hefty visual upgrade with GTA RP and GTA V Enhanced joining forces.
The FiveM team will launch official support for GTA V Enhanced on Tuesday July 21.
FiveM for GTA V Enhanced is set to introduce a new installer “that gives you more control over how and where the client is set up”, devs outlined in an update.
Players can also expect improved networking as the team has worked to “optimise and refine the synchronisation between the client and server”.
“Server operators can now configure in up to 120 updates per second, up from the previous 30,” it was stated.
Reliability under “poor network conditions” has been boosted too.
“Our internal tests showed strong results, with noticeable improvements in synchronisation stability and bandwidth efficiency over Legacy,” reads the dev update.
Of course, the most significant improvement is simply the fact that GTA V roleplaying players will now be able to enjoy the GTA VI-rivalling graphics of GTA V Enhanced.
A boost to the graphics of GTA RP has been long overdue, so this new support from FiveM is great to see.
The team’s support, again, launches on July 21 although that is an early access launch.
The team notes, “We expect to continue identifying and resolving issues and look forward to working closely with the community to improve the platform.”
Needless to say, GTA fans are thrilled at what’s on the way - especially as it’s a perfect distraction amid the final wait for GTA VI.

“Been looking forward to this since forever,” one fan remarked.
“Can’t wait to get my maps running on FiveM Enhanced,” another said.
As for the next mainline evolution of the GTA franchise, GTA VI remains on track to launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on November 19.
