'GoldenEye 007' Remake Coming Soon To Xbox Game Pass

'GoldenEye 007' Remake Coming Soon To Xbox Game Pass

It's happening, everyone stay calm.

In today's Nintendo Direct, Rare announced that GoldenEye 007 is coming to Xbox Game Pass as a "faithful recreation" of the original classic shooter.

It's happening, everyone stay calm. Amongst the news that Nintendo Switch Online subscribers would also anticipate the arrival of N64 games like Pilotwings 64, Mario Party 1, 2, and 3, Pokémon Stadium 1 and 2, 1080 Snowboarding and Excitebike 64, Rare revealed the existence of this new iteration of GoldenEye 007 so it's safe to say that retro fans are in for an absolute treat.

Check out this GoldenEye 007 Super Mario mod for a hefty helping of utter chaos.

"25 years after its original release, experience GoldenEye 007 faithfully recreated for Xbox consoles. Includes achievements, 4K resolution and a smoother framerate – even in split-screen local multiplayer!" said Rare in the Tweet. "Not only that, we've been delighted to work with our friends at Nintendo again on GoldenEye 007's simultaneous release for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members!"

In a post to Xbox Wire, Rare added that those who own a digital copy of Rare Replay will be able to download and enjoy the game for free, which is nice. Obviously, the publisher isn't able to hint at the date that the game is arriving on the subscription service, but as soon as we find out, you'll be the first to know. Also, the Direct gave us the title of the next Zelda game along with another trailer and some strange patterns that I am sure has something to do with the Twili. Yes, I am still holding out hope for a Twilight Princess Switch port. If you don't get why I'm so forlorn, let me put it this way - this is my GoldenEye 007. I knew you'd understand.
