Buffy The Vampire Slayer may have finished blessing our screens in 2003, but for many of us who were born before the turn of the millennium, the sassy monster hunter continues to live on in our hearts and minds.

People have been asking for a reboot of Buffy since it originally ended, and with the 25th anniversary approaching, it's on our minds more than ever. Creator Joss Whedon has said he is happy with where the story ended, tying up the seasons in a neat little bow. However, that doesn't mean that there couldn't be a whole new series with different story lines based on the same characters and world.

If you want to see Zendaya in action, you can see some behind the scenes footage in the extras trailer to Spider-Man: No Way Home.

As reported by Bloody Disgusting, Sarah Michelle Gellar, who played the vampire slayer in the original show, has given her opinion as to what a new story in the Buffy universe might look like. Giving an interview for a book, which details an oral history on the cultural relevance of the teenage vampire hunter, writer Evan Ross Katz asked the former Buffy actress for her thoughts on who should take over the supernatural role.

Her simple response "I vote Zendaya". The American actress has gained a lot of popularity of late, taking on large roles in two recent blockbusters: Dune and Spider-Man: No Way Home. The third entry in Tom Holland's trilogy of Spider-Man films was a particularly big success at the box office. The latest web-slinging story took in almost $2billion in its opening weekend making it one of the highest grossing films of all time.

With her background in action films, and her ability to pull of her own stunts, as seen with her trapeze and acrobatics skills in The Greatest Showman, we're sure she'd do a great job killing those vampires.
