The newest trailer for Space Jam: A New Legacy has dropped and it's actually looking amazing, with LeBron James rounding up Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Lola Bunny and more for the game to end all basketball games.

Over a quarter of a century since the original film, Space Jam: A New Legacy offers a twist on the format. LeBron James' son Dom isn't interested in becoming a basketball player, as he's got a head for video game development. Unfortunately, the two are trapped in a virtual reality space called the Serververse following an accident. The evil artificial intelligence Al-G Rhythm who rules over this realm then holds Dom hostage and James must recruit the Looney Tunes to take on the villain's Goon Squad of powered-up avatars of professional basketball players. With a star-studded cast featuring Zendaya as the voice of Lola Bunny and Don Cheadle as the notorious digital baddie, we're looking forward to what this standalone sequel is going offer fans as well as fresh faces to the series. "It's Tunes versus Goons in the highest-stakes challenge of his life, that will redefine LeBron's bond with his son and shine a light on the power of being yourself," read the description from Warner Bros.

Check out the newest trailer below, which retains that quintessential mix of live-action, hand-drawn 2D animation and 3D CGI effects to feast your eyes on.

It's not going to be a simple story with a straightforward ending, as the cast and crew wanted to bring more modern and relatable ideas into the fray. "The general idea was the examination of Black fatherhood and how fatherhood could be unique to LeBron James specifically," said producer Ryan Coogler, known for directing Creed and Black Panther, in an interview with EW. "There are parents who want to push their kids to do certain things because this is what they do, but sometimes you have to look into a kid and be able to have an open mind and ear to help them become the thing they've dreamed of," continued James.

"Kids are [now] more likely to watch other kids' YouTube channels than cartoons,"elaborated Coogler, when thinking on how to introduce Bugs and Daffy to children who might have never seen them before. "It was a bit challenging to think about, but we were reminded very quickly why the Looney Tunes work. When we watch the parts of the film [featuring] the Tunes, you have a smile come over your face because, if you're from our generation, you miss them." Considering that Looney Tunes: Back in Action almost ended all animated movies from Warner Bros due to its poor performance at the box office, it's cheering to see the classic characters return to the silver screen.

Space Jam: A New Legacy comes out on July 16th in theaters and HBO Max.
