Fans Call On Bethesda To Stop "F*cking With Skyrim" And Remake 'Oblivion' Or 'Morrowind'

Fans Call On Bethesda To Stop "F*cking With Skyrim" And Remake 'Oblivion' Or 'Morrowind'

Can't argue with that

Fans of The Elder Scrolls series are calling on Bethesda to "stop f*cking with Skyrim" and focus on something people actually want - like a remake of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, or The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.

As you've probably already heard by now, Bethesda recently announced The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. This is yet another new edition of the 2011 open-world RPG that's coming on November 11 this year to celebrate the game's tenth anniversary. It also means that come November, Skyrim will be available on more platforms than any other Elder Scrolls game: PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation VR, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.

Take a look at the wintry wonderland that is Skyrim in all its glory below!

"For fans looking to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Skyrim - or newcomers ready to take their first step into Tamriel's northern landscape - The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition releases November 11, 2021 for PlayStation 4 consoles with backwards compatibility on PlayStation 5 systems," reads a post on the PlayStation Blog.

While we all obviously love Skyrim, a lot of its fans have decided that enough is enough, and that re-releasing the game for a second time in five years is maybe taking the piss.

"Is it just me or do you guys think they need to stop f*cking with Skyrim and work on remastering Oblivion or Morrowind?" asked One_Wedding7059 on the Skyrim subreddit. It's not just them. At the time of writing, the post has over 10k upvotes and hundreds of comments agreeing that it's time for Bethesda to move on from the 2011 game.

Of course there are a few users who are arguing that they'd rather not see Morrowind or Oblivion remastered either, and that they'd prefer Bethesda focus on the in-development The Elder Scrolls VI. We all know that's still years and years away though, so a remaster would more than tide us over. Just... not Skyrim. At this point? Anything but Skyrim.
