We all know that Cyberpunk 2077 is a desperately pretty game. It's also no secret that that the upcoming sci-fi RPG will push the current-gen consoles to the max, and will be re-released for next-gen hardware a little later down the line (at no cost to early adopters, I might add).
But what might Cyberpunk 2077 actually look like on a next-gen console in all its ultra super-duper high-resolution glory? A new edited trailer, which upscales footage of the anticipated release to 8K, gives us some idea. Spoiler: It's absolutely stunning.
This glorious new video comes courtesy of Ani HVX on YouTube (via GamesRadar). They've taken the the gameplay footage that was first revealed to the public at GamesCom last summer, taking it up several hundred notches to turn it into a super-slick 8K beast. According to Ani HVX, this astounding effort took around 71 Hours to Render on an RTX 2080 TI/ NVME SSD/ i7 9700K PC Build. Basically, they used some pretty impressive AI tech to upscale the game, and it sounds as if we'll be seeing more 8K footage from our friend as more of of the game is unveiled to the public. I for one can't wait.
I'm far from the most technically minded person on the GAMINGbible team, but I do know a good-looking game when I see one. And holy cow, is this a good-looking game - made even better looking by someone much more talented and cleverer than I could reasonably comprehend. I'm in awe, is what I am.
In other Cyberpunk 2077 news, the game's rating recently leaked, and this is definitely not a title for kids. I mean, we all kind of knew that anyway... but references to things like "Intense sexual relation", "nudity", "prostitution", "sexualization", "suicide" and "cruelty" suggest that this ain't exactly Hello Kitty Island Adventure.
The 18+ rating briefly appeared last week on Brazil's classification board before being taken down. Naturally, some fine folk were on hand to take screenshots of the offending page and ensure that the information was shared across the internet.
