Despite the fact we've all been doing it for over two years at this point thanks to the pandemic, the world still hasn't quite gotten the hang of virtual meetings.
Many businesses and government bodies are choosing to continue to hold meetings virtually for the time being, a decision which can only invite chaos, terror, and the occasional cameo from Jackie Weaver.
Earlier this week, it was the Italian senate who showed us just how disastrously wrong e-meetings can go when a Final Fantasy VII porn video was inadvertently played to a gathering of senators, academics, and scientific experts.
As spotted by PC gamer, one digital jester managed to get into the meeting, at which point they treated the attendees to a brief stream of Final Fantasy fan-favourite Tifa Lockheart doing things we definitely don't see her do in Final Fantasy VII.
"What is this?" a senator can be heard asking in the background as an animated Tifa enjoys the company of a male friend. I'm assuming he was more outraged than anything else, but I guess he could have been angling for a link.
It was over in a matter of seconds. The video, that is. Once the senate speaker realised what had happened, the organisers swiftly removed the gatecrasher and talk returned to anything other than hentai.
"Yes, I'm making a report to the police," Senator Maria Laura Mantovani told AdnKronos. "A porno film suddenly aired on the monitor of the conference we were holding at Palazzo Giustiniani in the Senate."
"This afternoon there was a very serious episode, a real attack against which I express absolute disdain. During an online conference, someone broke in secretly by transmitting a video with pornographic content. I proceeded to report everything to the competent authorities so that they can proceed to identify the person responsible."
