If you are a fan of the Fallout franchise and an even bigger fan of free content, then you will love Bethesda’s latest DLC aimed at celebrating the festive period.

Despite the last mainline Fallout title being released back in 2015, the Bethesda franchise has received a resurgence during 2024 and shows no signs of slowing down.

Check out the Fallout Shelter announcement trailer below!

With Prime Video’s Fallout airing back in April with its second season beginning filming next year, fans both old and new are heading back to the games to relive the magic or experience it for the first time.

Well, as magic as a post-apocalyptic wasteland can be, I guess.

However, sometimes you just need to play a game on the go and that is where Fallout Shelter comes in.

The free-to-play mobile game puts players in control of a state-of-the-art underground Vault where they will need to make it a safe place for their citizens to live.

By upgrading the Vault and keeping its dwellers happy, you are more likely to keep them safe from the horrors lurking above.

Now to celebrate the holiday season, Bethesda is releasing a brand-new update to Fallout Shelter.

Announced over on the official Fallout Twitter, the update will be limited-time only and feature quests, room themes and outfits for players to download at no extra cost.

Not only that but discounts on in-game bundles will only last for one more day so you had better hurry.

As for the Christmas update titled ‘Holidays in the Vault’, players can access themes for fully upgraded diners and living quarters, Christmas outfits which are available from quests and lunchboxes and limited time Christmas-themed quests to enjoy.

It seems as though one Fallout Shelter fan was happy with the latest update.

“I'm hooked on Fallout Mobile now that I have a sustainable dwelling with happy dwellers making babies!”

Definitely a ringing endorsement.
