With a tweet EA has dropped one of the biggest bombshells of recent gaming history. Teaming up with Lucasfilm Games there is nary one nor two but a whopping THREE Star Wars games currently in development.
The projects are being taken on by Respawn Entertainment, which developed Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order. The first of the three games currently being made is "the next game" in the Jedi franchise.
Though its vague as to what this means, it will likely be an action adventure game like Respawn's first in the series. However, we don't officially know if any of those characters will be brought forward. If rumours are to be trusted, this sequel could be released this year.

The second game mentioned is even thinner on details though in the announcement it says it will be a Star Wars themed FPS directed by Peter Hirschmann. Hirschmann directed Medal Of Honour: Above And Beyond as well as working in production for Star Wars: Empire At War: Forces Of Corruption.
“Working with Lucasfilm Games on a new FPS in the Star Wars galaxy is a dream come true for me, as this is a story I have always wanted to tell,” said Hirschmann. EA claims that the game has only just begun development.
Respawn has a good history with the creation of FPS games. It previously developed fast-paced mech shooter Titanfall as well as the battle royale style hero shooter Apex Legends. With a back catalogue as strong as this it seems that the development of the FPS is in wizened hands.
Lastly, Respawn has delegated development of the final game, which will be a strategy title to Bit Reactor, while it steps up as publisher. Bit Reactor is lead by Greg Foertsch former art director at Firaxis, who helped create infamous strategy titles including XCOM: Enemy Unknown, XCOM 2 and Civilization 4 and 5.
Respawn has opened up almost 100 positions to work on the upcoming titles mostly in the software development, art, and game design departments. While there is plenty of information to come, it appears the games are in experienced hands.
