First released in 2015 with its sequel, Dying Light 2 Stay Human, following in 2022, Dying Light is a survival horror game developed by Techland.

As yet another title in the zombie apocalypse genre, Dying Light stands out for its entertaining combat and is perhaps best known for allowing players to boot zombies in the face.

Now two years on from the sequel, it appears as though Dying Light: The Beast is on the way, according to some cryptic Tweets by Geoff Keighley himself.

The presenter and producer recently took to social media to post an eerie live-action trailer titled “The Beast”.

As a result, it wasn’t long before internet sleuths put two and two together and worked out that this was referencing Dying Light: The Beast.

The title, which was recently announced by Techland, is expected to be a DLC or spin-off from the main series and with a title like that, we could expect to see one large enemy.

Luckily, we won’t have long to wait to see if our speculation was correct as Gamescom 2024 kicks off tomorrow and is expected to run for an entire week.

There is expected to be some big gaming news at the event including appearances from Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

Bethesda will also be present and is set to share more information on the upcoming Starfield expansion titled Shattered Space.

It remains to be seen what else will be announced but it is set to be an exciting few days for gamers.
