Since its launch over four years ago, Cyberpunk 2077 has been on quite a journey from being so broken that it was removed from online stores to now hitting another major milestone.

For many, mentioning Cyberpunk 2077 is often met with a grimace as they only remember its original release back in 2020.

Check out the next-gen update trailer for Cyberpunk 2077 below!

Unfortunately, the CD Projekt RED title was full of bugs and glitches that made the game pretty much unplayable for millions of players. As a result, certain online retailers even removed the game.

However, now over four years on and Cyberpunk 2077 has managed to completely redeem itself and is now widely regarded as one of the best RPGs in recent years.

This is due to the hard work of its developers who have dedicated everything to not only fixing the game, but also releasing regular updates which offer heaps of new content and quality-of-life improvements based on player feedback.

As a result, Cyberpunk 2077 has recently reached yet another milestone.

For the first time since launch, Cyberpunk 2077 now boasts an ‘overwhelmingly positive’ rating on Steam based on over 12,000 reviews.

After the news broke, associate game director Paweł Sasko took to Twitter to express his gratitude.

“Never dreamt it would be possible,” he shared.

"Over four years after the release, Cyberpunk 2077 hit Overwhelmingly Positive on Steam. So thankful for your passion, memes, videos, reviews, articles, fan art, cosplay and mods. Much love my chooms!”

This was backed up by narrative director Philipp Weber who wrote: “Cyberpunk was a labor of love, and that love was cut short. After all this time, I'm so happy we got the chance to fulfil our vision in the end, and I'm so thankful for the team who supports it to this day, as well as the fans who never gave up on it. Takemura would be proud!”

With Cyberpunk 2 in development, we can only hope that this good news continues for developers and fans.
