CD Projekt RED may already have quite a few projects (har har) in the works, but that hasn’t stopped the studio from teasing yet another brand-new IP.

With The Witcher IV having been officially announced as well as development also beginning on the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel, CD Projekt RED already has its hands full with two highly-anticipated video game releases.

However, it is not stopping there as development has seemingly also begun for its brand-new IP known currently as Project Hadar.

As the Poland-based studio’s first attempt at an original IP, Project Hadar will already have a lot to live up to but with its current RPGs being widely praised, CDPR has a lot of fan support.

While there is not much known about this IP, we do now know that the development team is on the search for new talent.

This news comes after GamesRadar+ spotted the VP of narration at CD Projekt Red, Marcin Blacha, post a call for talented developers over on Twitter.

“Project Hadar needs an extraordinary crew. Please feel invited,” the tweet reads alongside a link to the job listings.

The listings are looking for several different roles including a writing job that claims that Project Hadar already has a “universe bursting with potential”.

Of course, this description gives nothing away but it does show us that CDPR already has ambitious plans for its first original IP.

The listings also confirm that the studio has moved on from using its Red Engine in favour of Unreal Engine 5.

This was confirmed with the job listing searching for a senior gameplay designer who will be in charge of "designing, prototyping, scripting, iterating on features using Unreal Engine 5".

That is all we know so far about Project Hadar but with Cyberpunk 2 and The Witcher IV taking the focus, it may be many years until we get our first taste at CDPR’s first original IP.
